I managed the bookings and live social media coverage for a collaboration between Boiler Room and boutique hotel booking company, Hostelworld. The event took place over 2 days in Selina hotel in Medellin, Colombia. Colombia has one of the strongest techno communities within South America, so I reached out to local woman run crew, MOVE , to partner on the activation. We also created a travel diary with feminist DJ crew, Discwoman, exploring Medellin with MOVE's, Julianna.
Day 1: MOVE presented a day of electronic music workshops across rooms in Selina hotel. I documented the day with a series of Instagram Stories (see below).
Day 2: Boiler Room broadcast. I wanted to give a nod to the black Detroit roots of techno by booking rising Detroit artist, Jay Daniel, in Colombia for the first time. Alongside him was Colombian techno legend Aleja Sanchez, MOVE's Merino, and NGLY from Argentina with a live performance.
